RIP Luke "Golden Boy"

We are hugging Luke's mom and family over blogdom as Luke passed away Saturday. I loved reading his courageous stories and hearing of his mom's all star "Love Protocol" that I'm sure Luke will always remember. Luke was a beautiful Golden Retriever and he'll be missed by his real life family and his blog land friends <3

We love you Luke's mom (and Bleu!) sending hugs and sloppy kisses to you!

A Day at the Lake!

Today mom took me to the lake by our house! I've been swimming here in the warm months but never in the snow! I LOVE the snow SO MUCH! Its fluffy and sniff-able and eat-able!

It was a little too relaxing so I decided mom needed a little excitement... 

"Charlie stay away from the lake..."

"Charlie I mean it! You don't know if its frozen!"

"See! Now you fell!"

"Well now maybe you'll listen Nubs!.... Charlie! Again?? Really??"

I have no idea what she was so upset about... I see geese out there all the time! Good thing they werent there today.. I would have had them! 

After a while mom said she was frozen and we had to go back to the car...

First Post of 2011!

I snapped this while Charlie was waiting to come inside the other day. :)

We have been SUPER busy doing what seems like nothing lately! I just now got to read everyone's new years posts! We'll get caught up though!

On a random side note... I realized the other day the Charlie doesn't jump. At all. I'm puzzled. He jumps on couches and beds and... ahem... chairs. You've seen countless pictures of him flying through the air, but he only leaps as hes running! If I throw something in the air he just waits for it to come down, if you hold a toy above his head he stands up and then barks at you! The puppy does not jump! I know it doesn't really matter its just odd considering how easily he jumps onto things and his charasteristic runrunrun-LEAP-runrunrun gait! Anyone else have a gravity challenged mini? Haha :)

My poor dogs... ever since Christmas morning they have had the new flashy box in their faces 24-7! I can't help it! There are so many buttons I need to figure out!

I couldn't wait until midnight, I was playing with my camera today in the snow and got what I believe is my all time favorite picture of Charlie!

Santa Came!

Charlie and Maddie made out like a bandit with treats, bones, stuffy toys but I was the happiest of ALL because Santa brought me a super awesomely cool camera...thaaaaaat I have no idea how to use... BUT it came with many many insturction manuals so I hope everyone is ready to sit through millionsssss of high quality super cool "freckle face" pictures! ...ya know once I read those manuals...

Twas the night before Christmas...

Dear Santa, I have tried oh so hard to be such a good puppy all year long! I hope you will leave something for me under the tree! I only chewed 2 computer chargers and some tissues! I'm working on the stranger danger thing... last night there was a Christmas party at my house and I met these really nice kids, they pet me and fed me cheese so I would sit in their laps. The adults were ok too... mom gave me an unbearable amount of hugs after... she said she was SO proud of me because I didn't bark or growl at all! Of course today I had to alert her (and the whole east coast) that our houseguest (who has been here since Tuesday) was still here and still scary! But I digress... point is Santa, I'll be waiting for you to come vsit me! Please don't wear your hat though.. I am afraid of hats you see. Oh, Madison was a good dog too... except when she doesn't let me steal her ball...
